5 Easy Tips to Create Thicker and Fuller Lashes

5 Easy Tips to Create Thicker and Fuller Lashes

Okay. So I’m not going to lie to you. Most of the time, there isn’t a magic cure. You can’t just get thicker, fuller lashes over night. At least not real ones. But here are so some things you absolutely CAN do!

#1: Use a lash serum

This one is easy.. It’s just not cheap. But if you feel your lashes are sparse or you just don’t have enough or maybe they fall out easily, lash serum really works. I’m not talking about that $10 L’Oreal serum you might have seen. There are a couple you can get at Ulta that I know our customers love. RapidLash and Elizabeth Arden’s Prevage. It’s almost like a liquid liner in how you use it. All you have to do is just apply it right along your upper lash line at the base of your lashes.

#2: Try using a primer

A primer can really help add that little bit of extra volume to your lashes when applying mascara. And yes, I’m talking about mascara primer and not foundation or eyeshadow primer. This stuff is usually just a white mascara that you apply before you apply your regular mascara. Personally, I love the Tarte one!

#3: Volumizing Mascara.. There is a difference!

When you see all those fancy names on those different mascaras, know that there is a difference. While they might not deliver all that they promise, you will find that some mascaras give length, while others add volume. So make you sure that you use a volumizing mascara that works for you. My favorite happens to be Smashbox Full Exposure.

#4: Fake lashes?

If none of these other tips are working for you (or you just gotta have that WOW volume), fake lashes may be for you. There are all different kinds, and honestly, you just have to find the ones that you like. The fake lashes that look good on me might not look good on you. But to start out, I would take a look at Ardell, and personally, I stick with their “natural” line.

Fake lashes can be a pain to deal with, but they are definitely the easiest way to get maximum lash potential.

#5: Curl it up

Lots of people (eh em.. including myself) don’t take the time to curl their lashes. But you’d be pretty surprised at the difference that it can make, especially if you have lashes that are on the straight side. So the next time you use your mascara, make sure you curl your lashes first. It’ll curl your lashes up and make the more visible. Insta-volume!

Good luck with your lashes!
