Glitter! I’ve been thinking about getting a glitter glue for a while, but I’ve been a little hesitant to buy one considering the price of the one I was considering was a little more than I was willing to pay. You might have heard of it. It’s called Too Faced Glitter Glue retailing at $20. Normally, I would be all for spending the money, but since I’m probably not going to be using glitter that often (and I’m a broke college student), I figure it’s probably a waste of money.

And so I started doing research on different glitter glues. Long story short, I found this glitter glue! Unfortunately, Walmart doesn’t sell the product anymore. It’s still on their site, but just listed as “unavailable”. So I found mine on eBay. I got the glitter glue and these three glitters (white, silver, and gold) for $14.50 (and free shipping!).
I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the Hard Candy Glitter Glue at first, especially considering it’s a drugstore glitter glue. Not that I have anything against drugstore products, but it seems like glitter glue would be something that’s a little more specialized. I’ve owned a couple of products from Hard Candy, and they’ve all been a hit or a miss. I’m happy to report that this one was definitely a hit!
The glitter glue itself I love! The first time I used it, I put it on around 3pm, and I didn’t get home until around midnight. When I got home the glitter looked almost as good as when I first put it on. That’s 9 hours later! Needless to say, I was pretty impressed.
The pigmentation that I got with the glitter glue was absolutely AMAZING! The only complaint that I really have is the packaging. It’s simple enough and cute, but the dispensing of the product could be much better. There just a small little hole on the top, where it looks like you can put the brush through to get the product? Honestly? I really just don’t know how they expect you to get the stuff out! I ended up just pouring it out onto my finger and found it was much easier to use that way.
The glitter itself that I got with my eBay purchase was also pretty impressive. The packaging, again, not so much. The glitter isn’t easily accessible by your own brush. The easiest way to get the glitter out is to use the brush that comes with it.
Overall, I was very happy with my purchase, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good, reasonably priced glitter glue!
