Hey everyone!! Sorry I’ve been absent for so long. School has been pretty rough on me this semester… I’ve had Nearly Naked since Christmas break, so I’ve had it long enough to form some real opinons on this one. I’m in the shade 130 Shell. My opinions of this foundation change somewhat when you use it with the Nearly Naked Powder, which I will try to get a review on out soon. I’ll post the link here when I get it.
This foundation being a “Nearly Naked” foundation is a light to medium coverage (it’s definitely buildable). If you have mostly problem free skin and your looking for a foundation that feels light on the skin, then this foundation will definitely do the job of evening out your skin without giving you that cakey feeling. If your more prone to acne, then you’re definitely going to need to use a concealer. (If you’re looking for a more full coverage, you can use the Nearly Naked as your setting powder and you’ll come pretty close. But I’ll talk more about that in my review of it!)
This is definitely one of those foundations that I think my feelings toward it change dramatically with how I apply it. I have a couple foundation brushes that I’ve used with it, and I didn’t really like the finish with either one… I have the Sedona Lace FB 07 which does a decent job, but I particular disliked the finish I got with my Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Kabuki.. It just accentuated my pores, and it was just awful…. Anyways! My favorite way to apply this foundation (as with my covergirl outlast stay fabulous foundation) is the blending sponge (like the beauty blender). It just gives the most even and flawless coverage. (It’s an awesome investment!!)
I do like the finish of this foundation. It isn’t the most flawless on it owns, but it is very nice. I’ve actually been wearing this foundation much more than I thought I would since purchasing the Nearly Naked Powder.
This foundation isn’t the most long wearing foundation, but I does last most of the day. The only problem that I’ve really had with this foundation is that it gets pretty oily by the end of the day. The foundation tends to seep into my pores and looses that semi-flawless look if you don’t reapply powder throughout the day.
I forgot to take a picture right after I put on my makeup, but here is what my foundation looked like at the end of the day. You can see my T-zone is pretty oily… (Sorry my glitter eyeliner is flashing you haha)
I think this foundation is the best for people with normal skin. I don’t think it’s particularly moisturizing, but I think that it would be okay for people with dry skin too. If you have oily skin like me, you know it’s difficult to find foundations that don’t look like an oily mess by the end of the day, and this foundation is no exception. If you don’t mind applying powder throughout the day though, then it’s tolerable.
This foundation cost me $7.49 at Walmart, so for the price it’s pretty good. Not the best for people with oil skin again, but I think it’s still worth it. Again, Revlon ColorStay is still my #1. But I’m probably a bit biased!
