The Best Setting Powder Ever!

RMC No Color Powder Review: The Best Setting Powder!

Those of y’all who are reading this post are probably my people who are constantly having to re-apply your powder throughout the day or you have to deal with the oily mess that just ensues no matter what you do. Seriously. I just sit there and within a few hours, I’ve got so much oil on my face! You’d think I ran a marathon.. WHYYYY? Well, never fear because I have found the best setting powder ever!!! (Seriously, this stuff is amazing).

P.S. You may have seen my setting powder alternative, and while I love my alternative, this one definitely beats it. Might be a little more pricey, but sometimes it’s worth it. All depends on your needs.

I’m not going to lie to you. For us oily skin people, I’m not sure there will ever be a perfect solution. I still get a little oily on this stuff… BUT I can usually make it most of the day without getting too much oil. 🙂

I know.. I know… What is it? Just TELL ME ALREADY!!

RCMA No Color Powder

If you’ve never heard of RCMA – it stands for Research Council of Makeup Artists. Pretty fancy, huh? Well let me tell you, RCMA’s makeup is really high quality stuff. It really is made for makeup artists – you won’t find it in just any store (in fact very few stores actually sell RCMA products). So if you want to get your hands on some of this good stuff, then you’ll have to buy it online – either from RCMA directly, or from another retailer like Beautylish (they have awesome 2 day shipping!).

In a nutshell, RCMA’s No Color Powder is just that. It’s really no color. Believe it or not, translucent powders usually do contain some pigment in them. But not this powder. It’s designed to set the makeup without transforming it all. It’s like it’s not even there. Use it to set your water or oil based foundation (liquid or cream).

How good is this stuff really…?

It’s really good! It does exactly what it claims. Use this, and you’re going to have a really natural finish that will last you pretty much all day! If you’ve got oily skin like me, you might want to touch up once or twice (depending on what you’re doing), but this stuff really works. And honestly, even when I don’t touch up, my skin looks more dewy than oily 🙂

Plus this stuff is so finely ground that it doesn’t give you a powdery look at all. (Unless you use too much – don’t do that).

The Best Setting Powder For The Price - RCMA No Color Powder

What about the bad? Come on.. I know there’s something…

Okay, you got me. There is one thing. And it’s a deal breaker for some people (but sorry – it’s still the best..). It comes in this salt/pepper shaker type container. You probably noticed from the pictures. It’s kinda weird. I’m not going to lie. Not sure why exactly it was designed this way, but some people absolutely hate it. They lose product or this or that. If you ask me, it’s fine. Maybe not ideal, but it’s a lot of powder, and it will last you a long time. So I’m not gonna worry about a few spills here and there..

Oh, and I didn’t even mention the best part…

It’s $12. I know what you’re thinking.. It must be suuuper tiny. That picture just makes it look big… Nope! $12 for 3 ounces of product. Yep, you read that right. Three ounces!! That’s a lot of powder. And trust me it is worth every cent. I mean what do you have to lose for $12…. Want that Laura Mercier translucent powder you’ve heard all the YouTubers talk about? It’s $38 for just 1 oz. And it’s not as good either. So give this a shot and I really don’t think you’ll regret it 🙂

Let me know what your favorite setting powder is! Have you tried this one? Do you love it as much as I do?
