Sephora Black Friday Sales 2014
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, many of us are starting to get excited not just for that turkey and that delicious pumpkin pie, but also for those great Black Friday sales! For my family and for many others, shopping around on Black Friday has been a fun way to save money. You sit in line waiting forever, but you get to meet and talk to lots of different people and save money at the same time!
And since you’ve found your way here, I’m assuming you’re planning on hitting up Sephora. It’s a great place to stop by and check out because if they’ve got what you’re looking for, then you can get some great products at a great price, especially considering Sephora doesn’t really have “sales” very often.
It’s hard to know just what Sephora might have on sale this Black Friday, but they do have a page on their site (that you can check out here) about it. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, it looks like they’re going to revealing the deals on Instagram, and even earlier, they’re going to be Snap-chatting the deals November 23-25 (that’s the Sunday – Tuesday before the holiday).
I’ve been to Sephora for the Black Friday deals a few years in a row, and I tell you what. It’s really been a hit or a miss kind of thing. They always have a pretty decent selection as far as what they put on sale, but some years seem to be better than others. I guess it all really depends on what you’re looking for and your personal tastes.
I’m guessing they’ll have a pretty good range of skin care type products. I wouldn’t hold your breath on any eyeshadow palettes from Urban Decay, but I would definitely expect to see some kind of Mascara kit that comes with a wide range of Mascaras from different brands. I’ve seen that one almost every time. I’d also expect to see lots of smaller items like a mini lip gloss set or a mini eyeshadow palette.
Last year, if I recall correctly, they had a lot of skin care products, which isn’t usually what I’m interested in. Then again, products could vary from store to store, and of course they only have a limited supply.
A couple of years ago, I got some really great deals! I picked up two mascara combos. One was the full sized Tarte Gifted (Amazonian Clay) Mascara that came with a deluxe sample of the Tarte multiplEYE Mascara primer for $10! I was actually really impressed with both products. I thought the primer was great, and it actually made a difference in my mascara. I also really enjoyed the thick formula of the mascara and the results it gave me. The Gifted Mascara alone would have cost me $20!
The other mascara that I got was a really interesting combination. It was from Buxom, and actually, it was the first Buxom product I’d even tried as they didn’t carry the brand in my local Sephora at the time. It came with the full size Buxom Amplified Lash Mascara and the Buxom Full On Lipstick in Shanghai for $10 also! It was really an amazing deal I got that day. I’m not a huge fan of the Buxom Mascara, but I absolutely adore the lipstick. Both of these would have costs $22 and $19, respectively.
If they’ve got what you want, you can really save a lot of money, so I say it’s definitely worth the trip out there! My trip two years ago saved me around $40! And I got to try really awesome products that I probably wouldn’t have gotten the chance to try before 🙂
