This is the 3rd month of my Sephora Play! box subscription, and I have to say, this box is definitely my favorite so far! I think they did a great job picking out stuff that most people will like. I love almost everything in my box!
For this post, I have both a video and text. Feel free to only review one of them or both!
Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in Dolly
I’m a huge fan of Buxom lip products. I don’t buy them too often just because they’re really expensive, so I’m really glad to see this addition to my Play! box. This color is a really nice neutral-y pink. From my swatches, it looks like it’s going to be hit. And I will say that I love the minty feeling you get on your lips from Buxom products! I would pay $5 for this alone, and that’s half of the price of the box!
Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
I’ve never used an Argan Oil before, so I think it’s awesome they added this in the box. Argan Oil is pretty expensive, and even for someone as experienced in makeup as myself, this oil stuff seems a little daunting. By receiving this in a box of cool stuff to try, I’m getting a sort of free (but not so free) chance to try this out. If you don’t know what Argan Oil is, it’s basically a multi purpose oil they say you can use for you hair, face, nails, etc. It has a variety of uses from taking off your makeup to functioning as a cuticle oil.
Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil
This is probably my least favorite product (besides the perfume which is a bonus anyway). That being said, I do think this is a beautiful color. And for someone who loves a pop of color, this is sure to be a hit. That’s just not something that I normally do, so I guess it is nice that I now have a blue eyeliner that I can use if I want to. It’s definitely not an eye liner I will be reaching for very often though.
Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Rhubarb
I love this one! The beautiful burgundy like pink color is gorgeous and sure to look good on a range of skin tones. I like the neutral range colors for products that are going to masses of different types of people. This is one of those chubby type pencils, so I don’t know if I’d use it as a lip liner as Sephora suggests in their play book. But I do think this is perfect as a lipstick.
Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer
I’ve never used a Make Up For Ever product before, so I’m excited for this one. You can always use more primer! Seems pretty basic to me. Supposedly it is supposed to be hydrating to the skin, so if it does what it claims, then that could be a reason to go for this primer over your typical foundation primer.
Stella McCartney – Stella Fragrance
I do not like this fragrance. I’m so tempted to just leave it at that, because that’s how much I don’t like it. BUT fragrances are extremely subjective, so you might love it. I won’t be using this, but a little fragrance is always nice as a free bonus!
I really feel like Sephora is stepping it up. This month’s box is a great deal. For $10? HECK YES. I hope you got a chance to get in on this November box! If you didn’t, Sephora Play! subscription is opening up next year 🙂
