A new month means a new box from Sephora’s Play! subscription box! This is the second box, so I’m still testing the waters with this one. And so far, so good! I’m really excited about the products in this months box, which is all about getting that coveted dewy skin.
For this box, you can either watch my video, read on, or both!
Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser
This one reminds me of a product from last month’s box – GlamGlow Mud to Foam. Obviously this is a different type of product, but these dark colored cleansers must be a thing now. It’s a very oil-like (I don’t know how else to describe it) translucent black cleanser. It seems interesting, especially if it does what it claims, which is to remove sweat and oil and any remnants of skin care products you might have used the night before.
Sephora Pearl Mask
I’m perhaps the most excited for this product, even though it should be a one use only type of thing. It reminds me of pore strips but for your face. It’s large sheet mask that goes over your entire face to leave your skin with “a fresh, hydrated complexion.” I’m all for that!
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Day Tint SPF 15
I think the main focus of this choice is the SPF. According to the play book: “Sunscreen is truly your best anti-aging ally! Having it incorporated into this high performing day tint makes this a must have all-in-one product!” Well.. I don’t know about that. There are plenty of other tinted moisturizes that have SPF, but I am curious about this one. It’s been a while since I used a tinted moisturizer.
One thing to note here: I didn’t get a say in the shade that was sent to me, so that’s a negative. If I had porcelain skin or had a darker skin tone, then I wouldn’t be able to use this sample at all. Sephora, please fix this! 🙂
Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Instant Infusion Treatment Toner
I love the packaging on this one, and I can’t wait to try it. It’s described as a “silky treatment toner that refines the appearance of pores while moisturizing and protecting from pollutants and other environmental damage.” I don’t know about all the environmental stuff, but I could definitely use some help in the pore department! This is a very silky cream colored toner, and it looks like it would feel great on the skin. Sephora gets a thumbs up on this one for me!
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb
Again, this is one of those products that as soon as I saw it, I immediately wanted to apply it! It’s a beautiful blue color and it just looks like it would be hydrating to the skin. Use this product to “bypass dryness with this lightweight gel-cream, made to sink for hours of smooth skin.” I don’t know about you, but that sounds great to me!
BONUS! – Atelier Cologne
Described as “cologne from the coast”, this was definitely not my favorite of the bunch. So far from the past two boxes, the bonus sample has been a perfume. I’m not sure if this is a recurring thing, but it’s just something to note. I loved the perfume from last month, and I wish I could say the same for this one. Perfume is really subjective, and this one just wasn’t my cup of tea. But hey, you might love it!
Happy November, and I hope you enjoyed this post!
