Last week, I was walking on campus ready to go home for a bit, but I ran into an event UT was holding on campus. It’s one they have every year called “Party on the Plaza”. Basically, campus orgs set up tables to recruit and companies give away lots of free swag! If you’re a college student, your school probably has something similar. I got lots of cool stuff, but the most exciting part of the event (for me, at least) was definitely the Revlon & Cosmopolitan booth! I had no idea they held events like this, giving out free makeovers!
I waited around 20-30 minutes in line (and there were plenty of girls after me), but it was definitely worth the wait! Since there was a bit of a time crunch, each person only had about 8 minutes to be done up, which means that the makeup artist had to focus on one specific thing. There were four options – foundation, lips, cat eye, and glittery eyeshadow.
I chose the glittery eyeshadow, and here’s how it turned out!
And for my time (and uploading of that picture to social media), I got a free bag with four FULL-SIZED products! I was definitely impressed! Together these retail for $32+. Not something I was expecting to receive today.
Normally, I’m a fan of felt tip pen liners, so this will be interesting to try something different. I’ll let y’all know how my cat eyes turn out. That’s the true test!
This is actually the eyeshadow that the makeup artist used on me. Well not the exact one, but the color. Just from the day I had it on my eyes, I can tell you that this PhotoReady Eye Art is very wet, very pigmented. The glittery side is almost as sparkly on your eyes as it looks in the bottle. While I think you should combine it will regular eye shadow in the crease area, the eyeshadow really did stay on all day long. And as I said, I was walking around campus all day!
The nail polish is the only addition to this bag that I was surprised to see. The other 3 products seem to match well with their choices of foundation, eyes, and lips, but this nail polish seems a little out of place. I would have loved to see a foundation product in here.
Look out for my reviews on these products coming up in the next couple of months! And no, this post is not a sponsored post. I was just so excited about the event I got to take part of that I wanted to share it with all of you! 🙂
My purpose here was to inform you about this awesome event. I encourage you to check out Cosmopolitan’s site about their Love is On Campus Tour!
