Sephora Play! is definitely stepping up their game. Let me tell you..
With February’s box they’re bringing in some big names, and I’m definitely happy with the direction they’re going.
Firstly, (unless I’m going crazy?) the changed up the box a little. It still looks the same, but now it has this really nice rubbery/matte feel. I know that sounds like such a nit picky thing, but the box definitely feels a lot nicer!
And I mean look at these brands! Lancome, Bare Minerals, Make Up For Ever? Even Tom Ford? We haven’t had this big of names that I can recall.
Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm
Sephora gives us this lipstick in Plumberry Pop. It’s a very nice pinky plum color, and as an “oil-balm” it reminds of me the Revlon Lip Butters – very sheer but still pigmented. It’s very hydrating to the lips. I love it! It’s not going to last you all day, but that’s what you expect from most lipsticks, especially the ones that are this sheer.
Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil Longwear
A standard, sharpener-required eye pencil, this eyeliner is DEFINITION of creamy. Like holy cow. It’s so smooth. More smooth than Urban Decay’s Perversion I think… And just about as black. This eyeliner has not disappointed me. AND it is long wearing! This stuff is no joke. You’re definitely going to need some makeup remover to get it off.
Bumble & Bumble Pret-A-Powder
I’m obsessed with dry shampoos! They make life so much easier. I can curl my hair and use a shower cap for a couple days and still have fresh looking hair with dry shampoo 🙂 I’m not going to lie. I’m not a huge fan of the dispensing of this product. It has a screw off top, and it’s got this tiny little hole and you basically have to squeeze the powder out. It’s really weird. But hey, it does the job, which is what really matters. Another interesting product from Bumble & Bumble in my Sephora Play! collection.
Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural
In N9 Copper pink, this color is GORGEOUS. Seriously, y’all don’t even understand. Not until you see this color in person. It’s perfect for when you’re feeling a little daring. A beautiful dark mauve/red lip! Again, I’ve never had a lipstick last me all day, and unfortunately this one isn’t my holy grail. But it’s fun nonetheless 🙂
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes
I’ve owned this Tarte mascara in a deluxe sample size, and I was really impressed with it! Especially when paired with the Tarte primer, this is a great mascara. It still doesn’t beat the Extreme Lash Mascara from the Stowaway Kit for me, but this mascara will not go to waste. Definitely one of my top high end mascaras!
Hope y’all enjoyed this post, and if you did, then you should check out my unboxing video below!
