Maybelline Baby Skin Review

Maybelline Baby Skin Review

If you’ve been looking for a foundation primer that will help with those huge pores you just can’t seem to get rid of, then you’ll be interested in this stuff for sure. If this is you, chances are you’ve heard of, or even tried, the oh-so-famous Benefit POREfessional that retails at $30. Yes.. $30 for one (actually somewhat large looking) 1 oz tube. Ridiculous, right?!

I happen to own the POREfessional. I got it as part of a kit that was on sale at Ulta on Black Friday. I rarely use it because it’s so expensive, so I’ve had it for about a year and half. If you’re willing to spend the money, the POREfessional does exactly what it says it does. It will make your skin smooth and minimizes pores. If you have small pores, then you’re good to go! If you’re like me and you have pretty large pores, then they’re not going to disappear completely. Nothing’s a complete miracle worker.

Now we come to what this review is really about. We all love dupes to high end products, because the truth is we’d rather save that money for one of UD’s new eye shadow palettes! (Okay… Maybe that’s just me!)

Maybelline Baby Skin Review

Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser
Maybelline Baby Skin

This is a great product. Plain and simple. If that’s the extent of what you’re looking for, then there you go!

If you’re looking for more than that, then there are a few things you might want to know before you go out and purchase this product.

The primer is a bit thick and it feels pretty silicon-y (that’s definitely not a word…), so it might feel a little heavy on your face. Definitely heavier than the POREfessional. What’s interesting though is I actually like this. It feels like it’s actually doing something. And if you give it a second to dry, it really does make your skin feel silky smooth. Hence the name, Baby Skin!

I’m not completely sure how much this primer will extend the wear of your foundation. I think it does do a pretty good job, and especially well at the price of $6.99 for .67 oz (so it’s a significantly less product than the POREfessional but at a much better price). You might not like the way it looks with certain foundations though at the end of the day. I noticed with one of my foundations that the finish at the end of the day just looked.. not cakey but let’s just say it was not a look I desire. I think it looks great with this foundation here.

It does a great job at minimizing my pores, which is the point right? I’d put it almost right on par with my POREfessional. Overall, I think this is an awesome product and definitely worth the price!
