This month’s box is the first box of the year. Whoo! And you know what that means! Sephora is opening up subscriptions! It’s still limited – not totally open like I thought that it would be. But still, I was offered the chance to invite up to four people to join Sephora Play! Now that I think about it, maybe I should have done a little giveaway or something. Nevertheless, it’s coming soon! So hopefully you’ll get the chance to join soon 🙂
I think this month’s box was a little creative for Sephora. They finally changed up something – the cover of the Play! book. Instead of the regular black and white lines – iconic for Sephora – they still have the black and white lines but spread out and with tiles. Kinda weird, but hey, I’ll take them switching things up!
I’m pretty excited about the things in this January Play! box. It’s all about skin care, and this time they give you a little hints as to how to really take care of your skin. In the Play! book, they have what they call “Skincare Goes Full Circle”. It basically lets you know in what order you should be doing things in your skincare routine. Pretty neat, because you can apply it with the products you already have at home! And of course, the products in your box.
They also have some tips as to how to take care of your skin in the winter, which I happened to write a post about just a couple of weeks ago! Basically, they just give you some tips on how the products in the box will help you have better skin in the winter, especially since the season is so harsh on our skin.
So here’s what’s the January box.
Sephora Honey Eye Mask
This eye mask is perfect for sensitive skin. It’s meant to smooth over fine links and wrinkles that tend to form at the corners of our eyes. I used Sephora’s face mask from a previous Sephora play box and I loved it! I expect no less from this eye mask!
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel
This is a two step anti-aging treatment, and what’s really great about this deluxe sample in particular is that there are actually 3 treatments included! I love that Sephora added these skin care products into the mix, because they’re so expensive. You don’t want to pay for something unless you know it’s going to work. So with this sample, you should be able to get a pretty good idea! It’ll even give you smaller, tighter pores and a more radiant complexion! I can’t wait to try this one out. Look for a review soon!
Dr. Brandt Needles No More
More anti-aging products as is the almost theme of this month’s box. Needles No More is a tri-blend wrinkle relaxer. It’s supposed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and since it’s in a tube, you can use it anywhere on the face. Especially on those expression lines we get.
Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight
I was SUPER excited to get this one. I don’t know why, but I absolutely love chubby stick products. This one looks really nice, although I can see there being some limitations of use with just the product itself. It might help to use a brush to highlight some places.
Living Proof Prime Style Extender Spray
This is a similar product to the Bumble and Bumble hair primer that we got in the first month’s box. Living Proof has been known as a brand that works. So we’ll see how this one lives up to the name!
Tocca Ear de Parfum Sample
Surprisingly enough, this perfume actually smells pretty good! Well surprising since I haven’t liked that many of them.
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this post and will plan to join Sephora Play! in the upcoming months!
